THUNDER THUNDER THUNDER

Do you like Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches? Do you like the Thundercats? I know I do!
I guess it was some time at the end of last year (a month or so ago) that I decided that for practice and the fun of it, I would do some silly Thundercats related comic strips.  Even though you get my usually dose of humor and style types, I feel like you can definetly see the Kate Beaton influence.  I had been going crazy over her and Nick Edwards' work at the time (as I still do very often.)  But anywho, I hope you folks enjoy! Sorry for the poor scans... :(

Here is a ink sketch I did last week for practice.  I love these two characters! Miyazaki's Spirited Away is one of my favorite films.  ...So very awesome.
By the way, feel free to check out the COMIC I did for last week's Needs More Blue.
You'll probably dig it.

God Bless, gang!

Amplifier 2nd ed.

The second edition of THE AMPLIFIER is out which means, you can buy a copy and see this stuff in its printed glory.  The Amp is great because it helps the homeless of Knoxville, TN raise earn money and raise awareness at the same time.  I was asked to do another alphabet illustration (above,) which I have previously posted the black and white ink sketch here on the blog, if you are interested in checking it out.

I also got the pleasant surprise of being asked to do a design for this issue as well.  The image was supposed to be an iconic or sybolic image to accompany a quote about love.  I only do designs and logos on occasion, not to mention very bold, graphicly simple ones, so I enjoyed the challenge and change.  Here is what I came up with.
Have a great rest of the week, gang! God bless!
