Sketches of Glory

Hello all! Here are some more of my sketches and doodles, as promised. I think these may have been some of the new year. Above are some guys from a photography book I have. Below are a group of rough and gruff cavemen warrior dudes I made up. I've had cavemen & stuff on the brain lately.

Here are some more character doodles I sketched out on a scrap piece of paper. These guys are a little bit sweeter and cutesy.

Best Bros

Run!
Well, that's all for this time. Thanks for humoring me haha! I hope you all enjoy seeing what I'm sketching in between projects. God bless and have a great week!

Heads/Faces- Star Trek, Superman, & Sartorialist

Hi folks. Just thought that I'd share some old sketches with you all really quick. I meant to post them before now, but you know how that goes. :) Above are some people from the photo blog, The Sartorialist. Below are some Star Trek peeps and a few Superman "Family" characters and doodles too.

I hope you guys enjoyed a peek into my sketchbook. There is more to come, of course! Have a great week & God bless!

Coffee, Aviators, a Dog and a Vespa- commission

Hi guys! Now that Christmas is over I can reveal a secret project that I've been working on! Before the holidays, I was asked by my friend Cari to do a drawing of her husband and my pal, Ryan. She wanted the drawing to be a secret so that she could surprise him with it as a Christmas gift. How cool is that? It needed to have some things that he likes with him in the picture. Of course this included man's best friend and a vespa!

I did quite a number of sketches of Ryan and his pup in preparation. This helped me figure out which composition would be best as well helping me get down the likeness.

Pencil Stage!

Here are the pencils on the 8x10 piece of Bristol board which I then inked over for the the big finish!

INKED!

And I also made a little doodle of their dog on a thank you note. What a cool dog! What cool people!

It was such a pleasure to help in making their Christmas a little more merry. Thanks again, guys!
And thank you all for checking in! If you would like to commission a drawing, feel free to check out the PABshop or e-mail me at philipabuck @ gmail.com. God Bless!
